PerfectAire air purifiers work on a hydro filtration technology concept, using a combination of water and the Microbeshield solution. The contaminated air is sucked into the air purifier and mixes with the water and the Microbeshield air purifying solution. A scrubbing effect purifies the air particles within the air purifier bowl, at the same time as eliminating bacteria, viruses and other air contaminants. Clean, purified air is then released back into the air.

It varies from range to range throughout the models of air purifiers, but generally all PerfectAire air purifiers cover a 70m2 – 80m2 area

The laboratory test results indicate that PerfectAire air purifiers, when used with the Microbeshield solutions, are 99.99% effective in eliminating airborne contaminants. These pollutants which trigger allergies will be eradicated. This ensures those who suffer from allergies will be breathing clean, hygienic and therapeutic air whilst indoors. Should you have any underlying medical issues, always consult your doctor before use.

An ionizer works by creating a static charge with airborne particles. Once the pollutants are charged, an electrostatic attraction occurs. Ionizers work to remove contaminants by causing them to be grounded to oppositely charged conductors, including the floor, walls and ceiling.

The Ionizer emits negatively charged ions into the air that attach to positively charged particles like dust, allergens and smoke. This process causes the particles to clump together to form larger and heavier particles. These heavier particles then detach from the air and settle onto nearby surfaces, thus cleaning the air.

It is worth the few extra Rand spent on an air purifier fitted with an Ionizer, as it is beneficial in the air purifying process and speeds it up, making it more efficient.

Some of the PerfectAire units are fitted with LED lights, which have two functions – aesthetic appeal and colour therapy. These lights can prove comforting for children in the bedrooms as a night light and also create a lovely ambience in a home. Studies have shown that colour therapy aids in the learning process and is a daily occurrence without us even realizing the effect that colour has on our brain function. Units with lights could be advantageous to learners in the classroom or the study area.

South African water is generally of a good quality, therefore cold tap water will be ample when using a PerfectAire air purifier or diffuser. If a client is based in an area where the water is “hard”, one might find that they need to clean the units more often, as there could be a lime build up and residue left on the bowl and top of the unit. If this is not cleaned well, the build up could cause the motor to overheat and burn-out.

No, hot or boiling water, as well as a dishwasher will shrink the plastic bowl.

Depending on the air quality and level of pollutants such a dust, nicotine etc, it is suggested that the water and Microbeshield solution should be changed on average every 3 days.

Air purifiers purify the air by killing off viruses, bacteria, dust, mould, spores, nicotine and other airborne contaminants. Air purifiers should be used daily in order to ensure you are breathing clean, purified indoor air which prevents allergies and sinus.

A humidifier in generally used in the winter months to release moisture in the air when it is dry. It is generally used when a person is sick

A diffuser merely diffuses scent into the air which provide aromatherapy benefits from the oils.

An air purifier will generally be a better option, as you have a 3 in 1 product – it kills off airborne pollutants, puts moisture into the air and gives off a scent, thus offering aromatherapy benefits found in the Microbeshield solutions.

A humidifier only releases moisture.

A diffuser will primarily diffuse scent only when used with essential oils. If PerfectAire Microbeshield solutions are used in the diffusers, a small measure of air purification will occur and scent will be diffused.

No, the vapour that is dispelled from an air purifier is not visible to the naked eye.

A diffuser generally is used to create an ambiance by diffusing scent into the air and although there is a form of humidification, it is limited.

No, the main function of an air purifier is to purify the air and an added bonus is the fragrance. These solutions are water based and not pure 100% essential oils, thus the fragrance is not as concentrated and dissipates faster.

A diffuser is not “sucking in” pollutants but merely putting fragrance into the environment, hence the smell lasts longer and the oils are concentrated.

The basic concept remains the same. An ultrasonic diffuser is generally a better form of technology. The ionizing diffuser will have an ionizer in the unit. An aroma diffuser merely emits fragrance.

No, the air purifier is designed to be used in conjunction with the PerfectAire Microbeshield solutions, which eliminates all airborne pollutants. Running the unit with merely water will essentially only be putting moisture back into the environment, but will not purify the air.

PerfectAire Microbeshield solutions scientifically formulated to kill airborne allergens and are water based, as opposed to other oil-based products on the market. Air purification cannot take place through oil. An oily residue will build up in the air purifier, which will cause the motor to over heat and burn out. Never mix Microbeshield solutions with an essential oil.

As the majority of PerfectAire air purifiers cover an area of between 70m2 – 80m2, the size of the area or room to be covered will play a part.

All PerfectAire Microbeshield solutions contain our patented Microbeshield as the base formulation of all the fragrances in our range, therefore, regardless of fragrance, they will all eliminate viruses and bacteria. The additional benefit of each fragrance comes from the essential oil extracts used in that solution – eg Fresh Lemon increases mental clarity, whereas Rose will relieve stress.

No, the warranty will become null and void on all PerfectAire purifiers, as the oily content of these will damage the air purifier.

PerfectAire Diffusers can be used with either our Microbeshield solutions or with any good quality 100% essential oil on the market (medium consistency, steam distilled and from a naturally organic source)

No, neither our PerfectAire Microbeshield solutions nor our 100% essential oils, once diffused, will stain cloth materials.

Clary Sage is not to be used during pregnancy, however the rest of the range of PerfectAire Microbeshield solutions are safe for pregnant women and new-born infants. To be safe, always consult a doctor.
